Web Developer
Specializing in eCommerce
I'm currently working full time as a Senior Frontend Developer for VF Corporation, getting to work on the front-end applications powering brands like Vans, The North Face, and Timberland.
I also run a small web development business, where I help clients build and maintain eCommerce websites, specializing in the skateboard and fashion industries.
Outside of work I serve as the president of the Halifax Skateboard Association, where we lobby for skateparks and support skateboarding in our city. I also love making espresso and tinkering with my Gaggia Classic Pro.
Experience
With a decade of experience in front-end development, I've built and optimized interactive, user-centric applications and websites. My expertise spans JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, as well as development tools such as Git, Jira, Figma, Postman, and Storybook.
Most recently with my position at VF Corporation I've worked on the enterprise Nuxt applications used by Vans, The North Face and Timberland. In that role I have been instrumental in migrating legacy visually stunning marketing landing pages from AEM to the Vue framework with UnoCSS as the CSS framework.
At VF I've been focused on improving our content management practices, and developed a new internal API endpoint which allows us to override and merge content from multiple locales based on brand, language and region levels. This has allowed us to reduce the number of pages we need to maintain, reduced the likelyhood of errors, and improved the development experience.
Highly skilled with modern CMS platforms, I've worked extensively with Wordpress and Shopify, and have experience with Sanity, Contentful, and Storyblok. Very comforatable with modern development practices, I've worked with Git, Webpack, and Babel, and have experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
